The General Dynamics VZ-750 is an integrated long-range electro-

optical/ infrared (EO/IR) multi-sensor system designed, fielded,

and proven for the border security mission. Featuring a proprietary,

ruggedized design and cooled sensor technology, the VZ-750 captures

precise target signatures in Mid-Wave IR, day or night and in colour

during daylight and transition. The system is capable of detecting

man-sized targets at over 20 kilometres in IR and the high definition

EO camera offers demonstrated capability to read license plates and

recognize faces at 1.6Km and beyond. IOIs are illuminated using the

optional laser illuminator or spotlight, or ranged with the integrated LRF.

This system is ideal for surveillance and reconnaissance in ground-

based defence and homeland security missions requiring maximum

detection distance day and night. Integration is simplified with the built

in IP interface and interoperability with VMS and analytics systems.

Image transport and system control are over Ethernet for simple

infrastructure integration. The system is deployed in critical 24/7

missions for border security. The GD VZ-750 family has proven its

value, utility and reliability, serving worldwide. This configuration

builds on its trusted ancestry with a more capable HD EO sensor

and lens, and purpose built integrated peripherals. The VZ-750

includes an integrated precision 2 axis positioning system with high

reliability direct drive architecture. IR, EO, LRF, and illuminators are

integrated, interoperable and bore sighted for the application.
